This week our Teaching and Research Intern, Phill Coselli, walks us through the “priesthood” of Leviticus. A big word with lots of religious weight, and maybe even baggage, associated with it, “priesthood” is an intimidating idea. However, the priesthood was meant by God to be a restorative and beautiful thing, bringing life to all those around and to the world. Want to know the coolest thing about this? Being a “priest” isn’t limited to officially ordained clergy or highly trained seminary pastors. Rather, God invites all of us to enter into the sacred role of being His priests to the world around us – bringing life and hope, restoring what has been broken, finding what has been lost and helping others see the friendship God desires to have with them.
