I want someone. I just don’t want the surveillance package that apparently comes with having someone. 😭
In Episode 04 of Wait, Hear Me Out, we’re talking about the weird contradiction of wanting closeness while fiercely protecting your independence.
Wanting someone in your corner but not someone monitoring your every move. Wanting them to care where you are but not needing a full interrogation when you take three hours to text back. Wanting trust while simultaneously scanning every sentence for a red flag.
And somewhere between love bombing, breadcrumbing, attachment styles, toxic traits and the 47 tabs running diagnostics in our heads… when did getting to know someone start feeling like conducting a background check?
Maybe the goal isn’t finding someone who asks nothing of you.
Maybe it’s finding someone where being cared about doesn’t feel like being controlled.

Being alone and feeling lonely are not the same thing.
In Episode 03 of Wait, Hear Me Out, we’re opening all 47 tabs at once alone time, loneliness, validation, feeling heard, appreciation, and why different people sometimes get different versions of us.
Why can being alone feel peaceful, while sitting in a room full of people can feel incredibly lonely? Why do we slowly stop sharing with someone when we don’t feel heard? And why can we desperately need connection while also desperately needing everyone to leave us alone?
Sometimes you need your people.
Sometimes you need an oil change for your brain.
Apparently, both can be true. 🎧

🎙️ Wait, Hear Me Out — EP. 03
Making friends as a kid was easy. Sit next to someone at lunch twice and suddenly you’re best friends. As an adult? Apparently asking someone to get coffee requires a minor emotional crisis. 😭
In Episode 2 of Wait, Hear Me Out, we’re talking about the very confusing math of adult friendships friendships that quietly fade, people who feel like family after three weeks, the big friend-group fantasy, chaotic group chats, impossible scheduling, and the weird vulnerability of admitting you want more friends.
Some people stay for decades. Some are only there for one chapter. And somehow, both can matter.
Anyway… friendship math makes absolutely no sense.
Turns out, adulthood is mostly everyone pretending they know what they’re doing.
In the very first episode of Wait, Hear Me Out, we’re talking about the beautifully chaotic reality of your twenties feeling behind, comparing your life to everyone else’s, figuring out careers and relationships, appreciating the tiny happy moments, and realizing that maybe life doesn’t need to be figured out all at once.
A little existential, a little chaotic, and definitely not expert advice.
Maybe none of us really know what we’re doing.
And maybe that’s okay.
