Reconciliation is a concept that resonates deeply with all of us, in many different facets. But what does the Bible have to say about this as it relates to forgiveness? How does it guide us in the process of healing and restoring relationships? To help us navigate this, in this episode, we will be looking at the book of Philemon and pulling out practical steps that will help us move towards God's desire to reconcile with others.
As daughters of royalty, we are called to live in way that brings glory and honor to our King. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. His workmanship is marvelous. So let us wake up to call to be the Queens He has created us to be. In this episode, we will sit down with Shameka Conwell, mom, wife, and author of the incredible devotional, Queen Behavior, to discuss practical ways we can live as Queen. Let's fix our crowns!!
Ephesians 4:32 says “…And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.” But forgiveness is hard...and forgetting the offense is even harder...But when we forgive we are not agreeing to or excusing the offending behaviour (the sin), we are excusing the offender and allowing the forgiveness that we were grant by the Father through Christ flow in and through us. The fact that God forgives us of sin, does not make sinning okay. The fact that we forgive someone of their sin towards us, does not make the sin okay. Our job is to release it to only One who can make it right. When we partner with Him in this process, His strength becomes our power.
