The Kewanee School Board met on Tuesday, February 22nd at the Petersen Auditorium at Kewanee High School. The meeting, broadcast live on the RegionalDailyNews.com Facebook page, included the approval of a return to school program that recommends students and staff where masks but no longer requires masks to be worn in school. School Buses will have a mask requirement due to mass transit still being under a federal mask mandate. Superintendent Dr Chris Sullens explained the details regarding the return to school plan and talked about the approval to put down turn on the Kewanee Football Field, and took time to praise Kewanee athletes who've reached state competitions including bowler Mya Mirocha.
