A pair of snow systems will move through the TriState area this weekend, bringing periods of wet snow, light accumulation, and some slippery travel, especially north and west of New York City. Neither storm is a blockbuster, but both are expected to cause minor travel issues in colder inland areas.
The first system arrives just after midnight and lasts through late Saturday afternoon. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for northwestern New Jersey, the Hudson Valley, and northwest Connecticut, where temperatures will hover near freezing.
Expected snowfall: 2-4 inches in the advisory area
Impacts: Slippery roads, especially before midday
NYC timing: Light snow may not reach the city until late morning or midday
