We've issued an AccuWeather Alert for parts of the area Saturday afternoon into night, as rain could lead to ponding on roads and slow down travel.

The core of the heaviest rainfall has been trending farther south, reducing impacts for areas north and west of the city. Those regions are not under the alert.

Despite the wet forecast, the weekend is not a total washout.

Early risers on Saturday may even catch a few breaks in the clouds before conditions deteriorate again.
