Following the truly extraordinary 2021 Senedd election Labour have found themselves unexpectedly able to govern alone, the Conservatives have failed to replicate their success in England, Plaid Cymru have lost their taliswoman in the valleys, and the Lib Dems have dodged what appeared to be political extinction.
