Kirkcaldy Walking Festival Success!
The first walking festival to be held in the Fife coastal town Kirkcaldy was a greta success if the comments and messages we received over the past few weeks are to believed. The programme of activities and events proved to be very popular with residents of the town and further afield. Hopefully this will encourage other Fife towns and organisations to host their own walking festivals in the near future.
Getting Lost
After a few people contacted Walk Fife regarding a recent post about Sean’s 4000 mile walking challenge, Sean runs through exactly why he purposely got lost in the hills and what safety precautions were taken to prevent anything dangerous from happening and why somtimes testing your skills is important to keeping you safe when walking over the hills and through the glens of Scotland.
Hidden History of Fife
The recent spell of hot and dry weather revealed a surprising number of hidden archaeological sites throughout the Kingdom of Fife when viewed from above. Sean explains how you too can view this hidden history with a pair of binoculars and a walk up a hill.
