Ramblers Scotland - Out There
Recently Sean caught up with Danny Garden from Ramblers Scotland for a chat about the work of the group and what there recent Out There campaign is about and how it involves the Fife Pilgrim Way. Danny also talks about the campaigns aim to get more paths marked on our national map and how that will help to encourage people to get out and enjoy Scotland’s wonderful access rights to the full.
Fife Pilgrim Way - Opens March 2018
After many messages from listeners and users of the Walk Fife website who have already walked the Fife Pilgrim Way, Sean suggests that perhaps it is a better idea to wait until the path has been officially opened to walkers. The Fife Coast and Countryside Trust are hard at work putting many finishing touches to the trail and these additions will enhance the walkers experience as they walk into Fife’s Medieval past.
Access All Areas 2018 - Fife’s festival of the outdoors.
The Fife Coast and Countryside Trust recently launched their programme of events for their Access All Areas which runs from 6 October through to 21 October. Sean talks about what walkers can expect from the festival and where you can find out more about this brilliant event.
Cameron McNeish
The Glenrothes Hillwalkers Club will be hosting a talk from well known walker, author and television presenter, Cameron McNeish. Cameron’s recent book “There’s Always The Hills” has proven to be a real hit with walkers across the globe. The talk will place in Rothes Halls on Tuesday 4th of September 2018 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10 each and can be purchased by members and non-members alike and are limited in number so the club is advising that people should book their seat quickly to avoid disappointment.
