Christ makes us new, He calls us to a new path, a new focal point... a radically new way of living. It's not a call to look right on the outside, God gives us a new heart and a new identity. Ephesians 4:17-24. As we surrender ourselves to Christ's work , God changes our affections and our attitudes.
