On Wednesday, May 24, 2023, Internal News Director Jackie Sedley and External News Director Jennifer Yoshikoshi brought together a panel of six individuals from different UC Santa Barbara organizations and departments, for an informative and insightful discussion about free speech and safety on campus. Those panelists were: Anusikha Halder, Chair of the Trans & Queer Commission; Julia Teymouri, Director of Students for Reproductive Justice; Dan Linz, Professor in the Department of Media Studies; Janna Haider, PhD Candidate in the History Department; Rick Benjamin, Professor in Comparative Literature; and Devanshi Tomar, Science & Technology Editor and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Chair for The Daily Nexus.
