We have been studying a series of messages on the Life of Abraham, a FRIEND of God and the father of FAITH, as our EXAMPLE of how to WALK with God. Have you ever thought about WHY God would want to be FRIENDS with YOU? WHY would the Creator of the universe desire to be intimate FRIENDS with us? It is hard to fathom, but He desires to be your BFF (Best Friend Forever)! Abraham was called the friend of God! There were many individuals in the Bible who were close intimate friends of God. David was called a man after God’s own heart! The reality is that God longs for YOUR FRIENDSHIP, but our PROBLEM is we are either NOT AWARE or we are NOT WILLING to BECOME a friend of God.
