Highlands Ranch, Colorado – Deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to a surprising call when a wallaby was discovered inside a residence in the Highlands Ranch area.

The marsupial, known as Charlie the Wallaby, is a familiar figure to locals and even has his own Instagram account. Deputies ensured the safety of all occupants while carefully guiding Charlie back to his home.

The unusual incident quickly became a highlight for the sheriff’s team. One sergeant remarked, “I’m not going to lie, this is going to be the highlight of my year…”
