Members Reviews:
Not worth the money ...
This was really a pamphlet, not a book. A cursory review of his early life and struggles to overcome adversity -- if you're a fan, you've heard it all before. And then some pop psychology about relationships, personal and business, and then ... it was a very short book, and I did read it all in about 45 minutes, but my eyes glazed over before the end of the book. Spell check and grammar check do not appear to have been used in the making of this book. Sorry I bought it for the amount I did -- if it had been $1, I might not regret it, but SEVEN DOLLARS???
Why don't indie writers proofread their books?
Sorry, but I can't tell you much about the content of this book because I was too distracted by all the spelling and grammatical errors. I finally gave up reading after four pages. Please, indie writers, if you want people to take your work seriously, proofread it! Better yet, pay an experienced editor to do it for you. You might be the world's foremost expert in your subject area, but a lot of people will close your book without giving you a chance if you can't communicate well.
I had high hopes for this book because I greatly respect Walt Disney and everything he accomplished, and I wanted to learn more about him, but it was too hard to ignore all the errors this author made.
An intriguing first draft outline
A nice summary of what could be a fascinating and helpful book. It requires more depth and certainly an editor to correct word choices.
I hope the author will revisit this with a more robust and grammatically correct effort.
One Star
