We’ve got another Maryland legend in the house today! The Wizard himself! Walt Williams takes the time to hang out with us and man is it a good one. He’s one of Zach’s childhood favorites growing up and the Wizard did NOT disappoint.
Williams is considered by many to be the reason for resurrecting the school's basketball program which was going through very difficult times after the tragic death of Len Bias. After averaging a sizzling 26.8 points per game his senior year, Williams was selected 7th overall by the Sacramento Kings in the 1992 NBA Draft. He went on to have a successful 11-year NBA Career and we got to hear all about the journey!
We can’t thank The Wizard enough for his time and for the amazing stories he shared. He was so gracious with his time and is one of the most genuine, kind, and fun guests we’ve had the pleasure of hanging out with. He has an awesome book out that he and Tony Massenburg wrote titled “Lessons From Lenny” and we highly recommend that you check it out! Show the Wizard some love!
Thank You Walt Williams!
