Walter J. Grassie, 85, of Milan, NY, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the Baptist Home in Rhinebeck. Born on June 17, 1939, in Brooklyn, Walter enlisted in the United States Army after graduating from high school. Once his service was completed, Walter returned to civilian life until he was called back to serve during the Berlin Crisis. For the rest of his career, Walter worked for Con Edison in management at the Indian Point Center in Buchanan, NY, until his retirement in 1985.
