Mary Davison was no stranger to the great outdoors even before the age of 60, but that's when her journey as a long distance hiker began. Between the ages of 60 and 76 Mary hiked the nearly 8,000 miles of the Appalachian Trail, Pacific Crest Trail, and Continental Divide Trail. In this weeks episode we talk about what became, simply, her routine, and how she hopes to be an example to hikers growing old. Her message to baby boomers, "You don't have to stop, slow down maybe, but not stop."

Marc & Julie Bennett, founders of RV Love, have taken their years of expertise, put pen to paper, and given us the best overview of how to hit the road I've seen. Their enthusiasm is contagious and their excitement for this strange life we live on the road shines through their book, "Living the RV Life: Your Ultimate Guide to Life on the Road." Sarah Nicols is another Yellowstone 16/17 Alumn and I take the time to speak with her about her life on the road. Sarah has been working seasonally for nine years, which makes her the longest running wanderer I've spoken with!

After our first two episodes speaking with people who live in their RV full-time as their means of wandering, we speak to Matt Turner, who opts for dormitory living while on the road. While the dorms may not be ideal, Matt finds that the sense of community that they build more than make up for the tight quarters. Besides, we aren't working these jobs to spend time in our bedrooms.

I met John while working and living in Canyon Village, Yellowstone National Park. One of the highlights of that summer was watching John rediscover his passion for photography. We'll talk about just that, as well as some of the practical experiences of living and traveling in an RV for over two years.
