Magical miseducation and global adventure await in this fast-paced, humorous, and imaginative fantasy. For the first time in centuries, the reclusive Wand Master has opened the doors to his castle and invited a new generation of Wandmakers to learn the secrets of the craft. But danger lurks around every corner in a world of magic, curses, and fantastical beasts. And the greatest threat of all may come from within the Wandmakers' own ranks.
Perfect for fans of Harry Potter and Charlie Bone, the Wandmaker series puts a humorous spin on magical coming-of-age stories.

A very good book for older kids to teens
My 10 year old boy loves this book as well as the first installment. I find the book well written; I appreciate that the author also inserts plenty of historic overviews in the process.
Great review from my almost 10 year old reading obsessed son!
My almost 10 year old son just read wandmaker's apprentiice in 2 days, and loved it so much he went back to the first book in the series, Wandmaker, and read that in two days too. He wants a third but there ins't one (YET!). He says "It's a great book because there's always alot of things happening in it and there's alot of magic in it but it isn't just big and powerful, it's also small and subtle. The characters have really good traits and the scenes and how the people speak can be funny and exciting and sometimes suspicious or sad. I really like Coralis, an important character in the book because he is really sort of funny but very serious at the same time and knows alot of things. And he can be nice but also a little harsh. He's a very complicated character which I like!
Five Stars
