Wanja Asali, a prominent figure in the Kikuyu Music scene, joins us today to share her journey and provide updates since her last appearance.

Born and raised in Nderi, Sigona Ward, Kiambu County, Wanja Asali is not only a talented composer but also an accomplished gospel artist.

Her albums feature popular songs like "Kumenyana na Jesu," and she gained fame with her debut secular hit, "Kuchu Kuchu." Notable tracks include "Gasmokie," "Wendo wa Kuraya," "Kwiganithia," and "Kuchu Kuchu."

In Wanja's own words, "Wendo nduri mundu mugi" is a heartfelt song based on my personal experience of real love. Rather than simply telling my beloved, I expressed my appreciation through this song, conveying the message of "ngiona ndimuiniri tondu wa wendo ucio."
