In this episode I got to chat with the founders of In This Moment.
In This Moment is a subscription craft box for kids ages 4-8, emphasizing mindfulness and promoting social and emotional learning. Monthly crafts are designed to help kids develop awareness of their inner and outer worlds and introduce them to concepts promoting compassion for themselves and others!
Research shows us that children who practice mindfulness and participate in social and emotional learning have reduced anxiety, fewer behavioral problems, and overall show improvements in academic performance, attitude, and prosocial behavior.
Mindfulness is something that cannot simply be taught, but needs to be experienced! In This Moment teaches kids to experience mindfulness in a way that is digestible and that they will enjoy.
This episode dives into:
What mindfulness is
Benefits of mindfulness in children and how In This Moment boxes helps promote mindfulness
What patterns we bring to different relationships and how mindfulness can help you become more aware
What it’s like to tune into your present experience and how to deal with any discomfort that may come with it
You can order boxes directly from their website on www.inthismomentbox.com
