Honor Patriotism Valor and Unselfishness
The title expresses my sincere sentiments for those who gave it all for our freedom. I am an avid WWII reader and this book ranks very high on my list as one of the very best on the subject. Also I learned a great deal of new information In the words of our heroes as they describe their experiences and sacrifices. They tell it like it was - a dreadful wasteful and tragic war. Highly recommended reading for sure?'!
My dad fought in the European Theater during WW II so reading about places he served makes this book a great find.
This is the second War Stories book that I bought and read. The stories are intriguing and give a firsthand exposure to battles and the war. My dad fought in the European Theater during WW II so reading about places he served makes this book a great find.
Great insight into WW2
Col. North does a great job of intermixing strait facts of history with the first hand accounts of the men and women who were there. It really helps bring the historical facts to life.
I think this should be required reading for WW2 history classes, and is great reading for any history buff.
Added bonus- it comes with a great DVD.
