We live upon the grace of God. It is the simple and plain reality of the whole of scripture. And yet, how often do we hear of people seeking to justify themselves or others in the sight of all, based upon their own goodness and works? The scripture is plain, there is NONE righteous, NO ONE seeks after God. Not only does this mean that we are saved by grace, but we are also preserved by that same grace. Our only hope is that God will not cast us away, which He has every right to do and every reason to do it! The first covenant was ultimately cast aside because the sin of the people made it impossible that it would be the vehicle of anyone's salvation… We are no better than they, and if God were not faithful we would have no reason to hope… and yet we find warnings and commands regarding those warnings… So what do we do when God finds fault?
