Diagnosed with Behçet’s disease in 2013, Pamela is a dedicated activist for the rare disease community, founding We Care When, a care package and resource program supporting those living with chronic illness. She continues to advocate through her work with The American Behçet’s Disease Association as their ambassador spokesperson and now 2025 board member. She also collaborates with the National Organization for Rare Disorders, inspiring others with her "mind over matter" approach to life.
