After a number of disappointing games, the expectation was that the Golden State Warriors vs. Rockets would be a one-sided game. The Warriors were not expected to win against the third seed Houston Rockets, and certainly not in a heart-pounding overtime situation. The Dubs had the majority of their star players out due to injury, while the Rockets were at fall strength.

It came as a shock, then, that the Warriors managed to pull off a very unlikely victory. The team came together to play good basketball, keeping the intensity high and making smart adjustments. LJ Crier served as an unexpected source of points, with DeAnthony Melton bouncing back and Brandin Podziemski, while Al Horford continued to be a rock for the still depleted team.
