At the age of 17 Ryan Melendez was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, he was determined to fight it and become an accomplished pilot. In this Bonus episode we hear Ryan's story, how he fought cancer, flew during chemo and became an inspiration to young kids who also fought with cancer. Warriors with wings project is aiming to bring pilot simulators to pediatric hospitals to inspire young people with aviation as a healing tool, donating to cancer research and hopes to inspire change with the FAA policies obtaining medical certificates.
