In this episode, I'm talking with the Chief Scientist of WA Peter Klinken. Peter’s role as Chief Scientist is to provide advice to the Government on science and technology. Peter is not political, part of any academia and he’s not a public servant meaning that he is completely independent and gets to say it exactly as it is. Peter and his team are the top people in science and technology where the Government goes to them when making strategic decisions. Peter is able to call it exactly as it is whether that’s regarding Covid, the quality of water in Swan River, space technology, Lithium batteries and other scientific and technological matters.
