Ready for four important questions?
First, was Jesus Christ ever ashamed of the Good News Gospel message? Of course not. It was the very heartbeat of everything He said, did, and is.
Second, was the apostle Paul ever ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Again, of course not. Don’t you remember what he said? “I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” [Romans 1:16 NASB].
Third, was Jesus proud of the Gospel? It’s true that pride tops the list of the seven deadly sins that God hates the most. Then again, there also is good pride—good pride that God is at work in and through us. So, of course, yes, Jesus was and is proud of the Good News Gospel message.
Fourth, was the apostle Paul proud of the Gospel? Again, yes, of course. In the CEV translation, he says: “I am proud of the good news! It is God’s powerful way of saving all people who have faith.”
What about you? Are you proud of the Good News Gospel of God about His Son Jesus Christ? If so, I happily urge you to do all you can to reach your world for Jesus Christ in the days ahead.
