This may be obvious, but I'm going to say it anyway...

Jesus was Jewish.

More specifically, he was a 1st Century Palestinian Jew, not a 21st Century American Christian.

So if we want to fully understand Jesus, we need a Jewish perspective.

Which is why it was such a pleasure for me to interview my friend Rabbi Albert Slomovitz.

In our conversation, we talked about Jesus as a young boy, as a rabbi, and even the possibility of him being the Messiah of God. (It was so fun!)

While Rabbi Slomovitz and I ultimately have different beliefs about Jesus, I believe we both walked away feeling refreshed by the conversation.
