Currently The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches "After receiving a revelation commanding him to practice plural marriage, Joseph Smith married multiple wives and introduced the practice to close associates." As a woman who is a member of this church and married in the temple to my husband this doctrine of polygamy has always weighed heavy on my heart.  It is a doctrine still practiced today in the temple.  That is that men that are married to a second or third wife after their deaths and sealed to them in the temple expect to live with all their wives in a polygamous relationship in the next life. 

I decided that I was not going to rely any longer on sound bites and the voices of historian who are reading source documents and interpreting their significance and meaning for me like to Catholic priests did before the bible was available in the native tongue of the believer.  Here is a small sample of what I found.
