Waimanalo Beach is a haven for O'ahu's locals today--a spot where they can go to get away from the crowds. It's not too busy, but it still sees action. On December 7, 1941, as Pearl Harbor was attacked from above, a group of men set out to attack it from below as well. Two of these men found themselves at Waimanalo later that evening, totally by accident.
