Washington Nationals Trade Juan Soto, Washington Commanders Training Camp Update

Listen Later

The Washington Nationals did the illogical, trading superstar and generational talent Juan Soto to the San Diego Padres. At just 23 years of age, Juan Soto has his best years ahead of him and they will no longer be played in Washington. The Lerner family, the owners of the Nationals, despite looking to sell the team, traded Soto with 2 and a half years remaining on his contract. KDot and Amit jump into why this trade happened, and how they feel about it emotionally from the fan perspective.

The Washington Commanders are now in week 2 of training camp, and some eventful situations have sprung up. There have been some retirements (Antonio Gandy-Golden and Tre Walker), some injuries (Curtis Samuel and Cole Turner) and some issues continuing (Antonio Gibson fumbling and, again, Curtis Samuel being injured). How concerned are you about the recent developments? KDot and Amit dive in and provide their analysis a week before the first NFL preseason game against the Carolina Panthers.

The Comment Mailbag highlights 3 comments from VA Money Group, tonyp56 and Bloodklot. Thank you for the comments! KDot and Amit provide reactions on each of them.

AFTER THE POD continues last week’s conversation on Semi-Pro, and jumps into what superpower KDot would choose, and how he would spend his free time as a superhero.
