While the music world went through some turmoil during the decade of the 1990’s, it was certainly equalled by that which was suffered by the band W.A.S.P. during that period. The loss of guitarist Chris Holmes was followed by the epic redemption of “The Crimson Idol” album, and then a period of contemplation and re-evaluation by band leader Blackie Lawless. From this came an out of the blue announcement of the return of Holmes to the fold, and a new album to herald this. But was what eventuated from this reunion the old W.A.S.P. or was it a band that had reinvented their sound to comply with the way music had changed since their heyday of the 1980’s.
