In this powerful message, Pastor Solange takes us to the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus faced His greatest moment of anguish and surrendered completely to the Father’s will. As Jesus prayed, “Not My will, but Yours be done,” His disciples fell asleep missing the call to watch and pray.
Just as the disciples were urged to stay awake, we too are called to spiritual alertness. The watchman’s duty was to stay awake through the night, using every sense to detect the enemy’s approach. If they failed to remain vigilant, the enemy could steal, kill, and destroy.
As believers, we must become watchmen in our generation alert, prayerful, and discerning. Prayer is our lifeline, our direct connection to God. Without prayer, there is no communion or strength to overcome temptation. Jesus didn’t suggest we watch and pray He commanded it, so that we would not fall.
We are living in the last days, and the call remains urgent: “Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”
