What a way to end the season. This episode gave us what we wanted. We had a battle, there was fire, there was blood. The dragons were doing dragon sh*t. We had intrugue, traitorous behavior, and lots of deaths, including that of major characters. We now have Rhaenyra in full mad mode and we now have an uneasy alliance between Aegon and Aemond. And so much more....The way they ended this will definitely have you ready for season 4.

This penultimate episode was definitely the best one of the series for me. There was alot of things revealed and it set us up perfectly for the first Battle of Tumbleton. This episode is packed with emotional moments, shocking betrayals, and major turning points in the war. Rhaenyra struggles to figure out who she can truly trust with Lady Misery in her ear manipulating her. Rhaena is found to be Sheepstealer's rider by her sister and Addam, Corlys loses a piece of himself, while Alicent tries to get rid of a piece of herself, and Ulf shows us who he is and has always been.

This was another good episode. And another good build up to Tumbleton. Both sides took a big loss. The greens lost Crispy and the Blacks lost the Seas Snake, but not from death. We saw the beginning of a relationship with Baela and Alyn, as well as Alys and Eyemond and possibly the end of a relationship with Hugh and his wife. Daemo  found the killer responsible for the deaths of the gold Cloaks and he embarrassed the hell out of Ulf...again. Rhaena is back in the Vale being a nuisance and Alicat and Rhaenyra are still playing cat and mouse. This episode also gave us better insight into who Daeron is, who Ormund really is, and their relationship...

This episode was classic Game of Thrones dialogue driven episode. Like episode 4, this episode was used as a set-up to get us to that next expected battle. But, this episode gave us alot more intrigued and storytelling with some revelations. We find out the fates of Aemond and Tyland Lannister. We got to see how far reaching Ormunds power is as he is wreaking havoc on the Blacks and the Gold Cloaks somehow. Crispy Cole, Alicent, and the White Worm are showing us what they are about, and poor Haelena is once again forced into something she wants no part of. All in all, this episode definitely got me looking forward to episode 6.

There is a new villain in town and his name is Ormund Hightower. This episode pretty much takes place in Tumbleton and is setting up things for that anticipated battle. This episode revealed a few things such as Ormunds true intent, showed Daemon what his daughter has really been up to, and gave insight on how folks are really feeling about Rhaenyra. Things are getting real....

FINALLY we can catch our breath. Even though this episode wasn't full of action, it still did its job. This episode set alot of things in motion. Daemon forces the Hightowers to yield and takes Daeron as his ward. Rhaenyra has taken the throne and it immediately appears she is overwhelmed. There are problems coming at her immediately from every angle and the mistakes are obvious. She is creating tension in her relationships with the highborn and most importantly the Sea Snake.

The episode picks up immediately following the Battle of the Gullet. This was another great episode and Emma gave one helluva performance. This episode was also full of surprises....none bigger than us finding out where Plotto was AND what happens to him. There was more deaths, more action, and more great drama.....

War is finally upon us and  we get to see the Battle of Rooks Rest. This episode really hurt...they messed up the city with this one.
Both sides took some losses but none as big as the Blacks.

Tonight is a double episode recap. We will be breaking down both episode 2 and episode 3. Ep2  "Rhaenyra the Cruel" picks up with the aftermath immediately after the death of Lil Jae Jae. It also introduced us to Addam of Hull, Ulf the White, and  Kat. Ep3 "The Burning Mill" gives us, well Alicat, clarity on what Viserys really said, but at this point it doesn't matter. It also starts Damon's time at Harrenhall. The episode introduced us to Ser Gwayne Hightower, Alys Rivers, and Ser Simon Strong.
