Watch: John Dunso, "To Sarah, Wherever You Are"

Listen Later

Four years ago, Swedish pop singer John Dunso toured the North Country and much of the U.S. He wrote and recorded songs about the places he visited and the people he met, including a woman on an Arizona farm. But, he lost her contact info. So, what's a singer to do? He wrote a song to her, and is hoping she'll hear it and respond.
The love song, "To Sarah (Wherever You Are)," makes its official debut today.
Traveling John Dunso is the former guitarist in one of Sweden's biggest indie-pop bands, Billie the Vision and the Dancers.
A few weeks ago, Dunso emailed Todd Moe, who spoke with him in 2014 during his stay at Better Farm in Redwood, NY. He wondered if NCPR would air the song and that "Sarah" might hear it on-air or on-line. It's a sweet, folksy song that includes guitar, voice and a string quintet.
Dunso says he's exhausted efforts to find "Sarah" via social media, and may return to the U.S. for another musical tour in hopes of finding her again.
