Alex and I recorded this a bit ago, but now all of you can listen to our enlightening conversation! Chip and Dale are two chipmunks who start a detective agency, Rescue Rangers, along with their friends Gadget Hackwrench, Monterey Jack, and Zipper. The pint-sized detectives deal with crimes that are often "too small" for the police to handle, usually with other animals as their clients. The gang frequently find themselves going up against two particular arch-villains: the Mafia-style tabby cat (Fat Cat) and the mad scientist Norton Nimnul. Let's dive in together!!!
Stephanie fills in for Jessie and sets the end of the Season One of Quantum Leap. Sam hopes to reveal the young man's true nature by challenging him to a drag race... then Sam leaps into a New York City area private detective with an uncanny resemblance to the Hollywood screen legend, Humphrey Bogart. We cover it all! Is this, "Grease!?" is this, "Casablanca!?" Probably. Let's end the Season with a Bang and look on to the future!!!
Our first guest star joins us!!! We welcome Denny to discuss this fun romp! November 8, 1965: Sam leaps into Frankie La Palma, a "handsome" mafia hitman involved in a dangerous tryst with the lover of crime boss, Don Geno. Sam must avoid the wrath of Geno, while also following Ziggy's instructions, who has formulated a theory to help retrieve him... If you can't guess why... BINGO!
Sam leaps into the body of a Texas veterinarian, Dr. Daniel Young (Doc). He works on the ranch of Tess McGill. She has a stubborn streak and refuses to marry any man who is unable to out-ranch her. She makes a bet with her Dad that she will give Young one week to prove he can be a better rancher than she is and if he does, she will marry him. Young's helper at the veterinary practice, Buddy, proves to be a bit of a surprise... or is he the key to the whole episode!?
Now onto Episode 3 of Quantum Leap! Sam leaps into a boxer that is owned by a convent of nuns who need him to win a boxing match to finance their new chapel. Sam is Kid Cody, a boxer on the take and has to change history to help the nuns. He has to face the bookie who counts on him to tank it in the final round. So with the help of several trainers, a little streaking, and Al appearing in the ring to guide the fight... it is one episode that packs a punch!!!
Jessie and Richard are at it again! This time at a small Ohio college, Sam Beckett is a literature professor who must discourage the amorous advances of a student (Jamie Lee) and finds the woman who left him at the altar (Donna). Sam hopes that resolving her conflicts with her father will prevent her from deserting him. We hope he doesn't break the timeline!!!
Jessie and Richard are spinning off from, Watch Your TV Show, and you might say... are Leaping into a brand new adventure! This is an actual romp, Jessie is watching this show for the first time and Richard is walking down memory lane by re-watching it years later! They happen to both be Actors in Seattle- so you never know what comical tangents will ensue! Have fun!
Anna helps me see the darkness and the light in the TV Show, Lucifer! The series focuses on Lucifer Morningstar played by Tom Ellis. He is a handsome and powerful angel who was cast out of Heaven for his rebellion. As the Devil, Lucifer tires of the millennia he's spent being the Lord of Hell, punishing people. BUT also it's a police procedural show! Have fun with us!!!
Ruth introduces me to a classic TV Show... that only has one episode!!! Why didn't I know about this!? It is about an astronaut on the run with special powers (played by Jack Black) and his talking motorcycle (voiced by Owen Wilson) must deal with a malevolent artificial life form that's possessing people and turning them into dust, as well as NASA's hitman and real life actor Ron Silver.
