Last week the South African Human Rights Commission released their report indicating that KwaZulu-Natal municipalities have infringed on residents' right to clean drinking water. Provincial authorities have blamed ageing infrastructure and maintenance failures. We then spoke to the Human Rights Commission about the report and also invited the Department of Water and Sanitation, but they asked us to allow them to study the report so that they can respond.
