Exodus 17:1-7

While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Long before we ever had a thought of coming to him, he came to us. Even though, to this day, we are still sinners who contend with God’s will and test him, still Christ has come in person for us, died for us and slakes our spiritual thirst so we never need to drink from any other well anymore. He alone fills us with what we need for eternal life.
