We seek to grow in every facet of life we find ourselves in, and we look forward to the benefits of it all. We look to the experiences, the teachings, and the validation in our lives.

But why does it become offensive, legalistic, or forced when the same expectations are laid down before us in the faith?

God is our validation, and in him alone do we find growth. In him alone do we find correct teachings, and in him alone do our lives maintain the perfection brought through Jesus.
