This is a special episode in conversation with a member of our community, author and public theologian Damon Garcia on 06/16/26, entitled Why You Don't Need a Calling. In this episode, Damon and Tim chat about the scope of Damon's work, and what led him to write his forthcoming book: You Don't Need a Calling: An Anti-Capitalist Manifesto for a Life of Purpose. They also discuss the effects of late capitalism on human meaning, how grounding in dignity and creativity offer us a way out, and what we can learn from disentangling from the vicious cycles of self-improvement and commoditization.
