Fortunately for West Bromwich Albion supporters, the 2021/2022 season has drawn to a close with the Baggies experiencing one of their worst campaigns in modern history.
From Valérien Ismaël with his high-pressing and 3-4-3 stubbornness to Steve Bruce's desire to overhaul Albion's shameful playing squad, there will not be one Baggies fan who is not grateful to see the back of the season.
Nevertheless, Matt Smith, Ronan Thompson and The Baggies Podcast's Louis Bent review what has been a dismal season and discuss the key talking points, whilst also handing out their alternative end of season awards including Burke of the Year, the ALAN's and the Rickie Lambert Award.

The WBAReport Podcast returns with the Baggies -finally- producing an upturn in results having gone four games unbeaten, including that long-awaited first win for Albion boss, Steve Bruce and a magnificent 1-0 win against table-toppers Fulham.
Podcast regulars, Matt Smith, Ronan Thompson and Kieran Kelly discuss what has been behind the unbeaten run, namely academy graduate Taylor Gardner-Hickman, tactical tweaks and the reinstallment of key figures.
However, Matt in particular is still not convinced with the Baggies' performances and still doubts both Brucey's and the squad's ability to turn fortunes around.

All is not well in the world of West Bromwich Albion. Steve Bruce has overseen four games at the time of publishing and has failed to win one of them. Amidst the doom and gloom, Matt Smith, Ronan Thompson and Kieran Kelly dissect why Brucey has failed to generate that bounce, the role of playing squad in the club's recent demise and if there is anything salvageable from this season.
However, the guys attempt to change the mood and morale of the podcast by aptly selecting their worst-ever Albion XI of the 21st century where passionate debate and strong opinions come to the fore. Please check out the @WBAReport Twitter account to share your suggestions on the XI selected.

In quite possibly the most dramatic 48 hours in West Bromwich Albion's modern history, the Baggies sacked Head Coach Valérien Ismaël, moved aside CEO Xu Ke and replaced him with Ron Gourlay before finally appointing former Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce as the club's new manager.
Ronan Thompson, Matt Smith and podcast debutant Will Griffin attempt to make sense of such a turbulent period by analysing Ismaël's tenure, discussing the appointment of Bruce whilst also examining what degree of blame the playing squad should take for the recent demise in results.
