WBN MEMBER CONVERSATIONS
We have had a hiatus with our Member Conversations as we have been busy with the 2022 WBEA and many other exciting projects to work on. But we are back with consistent content until the end of the year!
We would like to introduce you to WBN Member, Christy Petchell from Petchell Mechanical based out of Wyalkatchem. Petchell Mechanical began as a one-man business eight years ago with Steven (Christy’s husband) working as a mobile mechanic. The business has only grown from there, taking on their first apprentice (who is still working there) as well as purchasing a shed to conduct their business out of on a permanent basis. This is only the beginning for them as they now have 4 employees and Christy has also been given the opportunity to take on a position within the business. They have a fantastic team and recently won the Stumpy’s Gateway Roadhouse Business 1-4 Employees at the 2022 Wheatbelt Business Excellence Awards – which is a huge achievement!
This conversation between Christy and Rach is brilliant, funny, and authentic. They explore the highs of being in business as well as some of the lows that also come with running your own business in the Wheatbelt.
