Richard Chew is joined by Dr. Debra Houry, former chief medical officer of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, who resigned in protest last August. TIME recently published her op-ed, “I Left the CDC 100 Days Ago. My Worst Fears About the Agency Are Coming True.”  On December 15, California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced that the state of California has hired Dr. Houry to help launch the Public Health Network Innovation Exchange (PHNIX).
