They discussed Donald Trump's recent Oval Office meeting with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, with Nellis criticizing Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance for their "completely classless" conduct which, he said, did "not have America's best interest at heart." 

When the conversation shifted to the impact of these events on voters, Nellis emphasized the need for better Democratic communication on Ukraine's importance in the defense of democracy and the rules-based international order. They also discussed the potential of town halls to engage disengaged voters and the importance of reaching out to disappointed Trump supporters with inclusive messaging, in order to rebuild trust and unity.
