Murphy discussed the importance of Medicaid, which she noted covers more than 71 million Americans and half of all U.S. births. She highlighted Medicaid's role in providing health care to low-income individuals, families, children, people with disabilities and pregnant people, and emphasized the program's critical role in closing racial coverage gaps. Murphy also criticized the Trump administration's attacks on Medicaid and the potential impact of recently enacted federal cuts on all 50 states, urging public engagement to hold representatives accountable.
