Filling in for Richard Chew, Michelle Peltier is joined by Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers and author of “Why Fascists Fear Teachers: Public Education and the Future of Democracy.”

Weingarten highlighted the role of teachers in fostering critical thinking and creating inclusive environments and emphasized the need for safe, welcoming schools and relevant, engaging curricula. She also criticized the right's demonization of teachers and public schools, addressed the impact of social media on radicalization, and spoke about the importance of digital literacy.
