To understand the essence of “stewardship” you must first understand our role as a “new Creation”. As someone who has died to the old way of life, and risen up to a new creation, how do we function in communion with God? He brings us close through Jesus Christ, and guides us through His Holy Spirit - a dance between human and God, moving in accordance to His desires, His mission.

As stewards of His Creation and His purposes, in what ways do our lives now differ from what once was? We build empires, but which empire - our own empire, or His empire? ...the one which He invited us into, and uses us to His purposes? The first one brings minimal glory to the Creator…the second brings tremendous amounts of glory to Him. In which empire do you abide?
