We Are Dust; So Where Can We Find Hope? (Psalm 103:8-14)
Ash Wednesday is an unapologetic reminder: we are dust, and to dust we will return. Is Christianity only a delusional fantasy that allows us to deny the reality of death? Or does our biblical faith give us permission to face death with real and lasting hope? Psalm 103 testifies that we can find hope in a love stronger than death: God's patient, prodigal and paternal love for us. God remembers that we are dust, and does everything about it.
