The family is very important to God! Proverbs 127:3 -5 "3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward.  4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth. 5 Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate. 

Being a praying family provides love and support! Being an extended family of prayers, extends beyond generations and provides a kinship that serves as a haven of love, support, and encouragement! Be blessed in song and praise.

Fasting and prayer transforms us because we yield to the Holy Spirit!  The truth is Romans 8:12 -13 NLT encourages us "12 Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. 13 For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live."   How do we succeed? We succeed by putting our body into obedience in the Holy Spirit! That’s what fasting and prayer accomplish!  Jesus explained to his disciples who couldn’t cast out the demon in the little boy in Matthew 17:14-21 that in Matthew 17:21NKJV “21However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

We are called by God to restore our personal relationship with God! This can only be accomplished through a relationship with Jesus Christ! John 17 represents the prayers of Jesus. John 17:1-5 Jesus prays for Himself.  John 17:6 through 19, Jesus prays for His disciples. Prayer has no timeline, so His prayer for His disciples is still relevant today and in the future! Be encouraged and reassured Jesus's prayers still meet our needs!

We pray for believers of Jesus Christ look and be different from those in the world so that they may show themselves as those who are Christ’s disciples who have crucified their flesh by overcoming sinful passions and desires.
