I’m constantly thanking God for people who serve as firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and in other roles that put them in the line of defense. These individuals are prepared to and often do save lives every single day.  But did you know if you are a Christian, that you are truly the first responder of souls? Imagine if we woke up every day with the appropriate pressure to tell the Good News to the lost. Everything would change for the better. We have to get in this mindset.

Jude 1:23 puts it like this: “Save others by snatching them out of the fire; Show mercy to those facing fear.” I like how the Message Version puts it too: “Go easy on those who hesitate in the faith. Go after those who go the wrong way. Be tender with sinners, but not soft on sin.”

Spreading the good news of Jesus to the lost and the lonely is our greatest responsibility and our greatest privilege. This is a serious business we’re in as Christians. And you are truly in the role of an evangelist as a Christian because Jesus said to ALL believers “Go and make disciples of all nations…” How you model your faith and what you say today could affect somebody else’s life for eternity.
